What is Latisse®?
Latisse® is an FDA-approved prescription medication used to grow longer, fuller, and darker eyelashes after 16 weeks of use. AT 16 weeks in clinical studies, results showed that layers were 106% fuller, 25% longer, and 18% darker.
Latisse® is believed to increase the growth cycle phase of the eyelash hair cycle, thereby increasing the number of hairs in this growth phase for desired results.

Latisse® can be used at home once nightly. To apply, ensure that your face is clean from makeup and that contact lenses are removed. Remove the sterile applicator from the tray, and place one drop of Latisse® on the area of the applicator closest to the tip, but not on the tip.
Next, immediately brush the applicator along the skin at the base of the upper lashes, going from the inner part of the lash line outward. Use a tissue to blot away any excess solution. Throw away the applicator after each use. Repeat these steps for the opposite eyelid with a new applicator.
Please note that Latisse® should never be applied to the lower lid or in the eye.
-
Latisse® may cause brown darkening of the colored part of the iris, which may be permanent. Latisse® may also cause darkening of the eyelid skin.
-
If a patient were to stop using Latisse®, their eyelashes would gradually return to their original state.
-
Latisse® is an ophthalmic solution, so if some does get into the eye, it should not be harmful. However, Latisse® is not an eyedrop and should not be used as such. Latisse® should not be applied to the lower lid.
